The approach to Mera Peak is a chance to venture into a little-visited
and unspoiled region of Nepal where the hillsides are still densely
forested. At the lofty height of 6454 m, Mera peak is Nepal's highest
trekking peak and boasts an absolutely stunning summit panorama
that includes five of the world's 8000 m peaks: Kangchenjunga (8586
m), Makalu (8475 m), Lhotse (8501 m), Everest (8848 m) and Cho Oyo
(8153 m). Although physically very demanding, the climb itself is
quite straightforward, on snow slopes, which rarely exceed 30 degrees.
ITINERARY : :
Day 01. Arrival at Kathmandu. Day 02. Kathmandu - Sight Seeing.
Day 03. Kathmandu - Phaplu flight. Day 04 - 21. Trekking and climbing
of Mera Peak and back to Lukla. Day 22. Lukla - Kathmandu flight.
Day 23. Kathmandu - Free day or Sight seeing. Day 24. Departure
from Kathmandu.
